This is one of the reasons why rendering interjections and suprasegmental features as orality aspects have rarely been taught. This study, hence, was performed to be one step towards more analyses and researches in this domain and to be a hope towards the application of these orality aspects in translation studies classes. In the present study, the researcher attempted to introduce interjections and suprasegmental features and to identify a suitable way to render them in Persian as a guideline for translation students. Three translation theories were adopted to fulfill the purpose of the study: looping model (Nord, 1991), hermeneutic motion (Steiner, 1991) and Ullmann’s transparency (Ullmann, 1991). After analyses, it was concluded that the gear shaped model as a combination of the mentioned theories is an applicable way for translating interjections and suprasegmental features and can be introduced in translation classes. The model provides substitutions in the target language which approximate the source language concept as close as possible.واژگان کلیدیInterjections, Suprasegmental Features, Translation Studies Classes, Gear Shaped Model
