مقاله جوشکاری با عنوان : Finite element analysis of resistance spot welding processGuo Zhong چکیده :A coupled finite element model is developed toanalyze the transient thermal and mechanical behaviors ofResistance Spot Welding (RSW) process using commercialsoftware ANSYS. A direct-coupled electrical-thermal FiniteElement Analysis (FEA) is firstly performed to simulate thetransient thermal characteristics of RSW process. The thermalhistory of the whole process and the temperature distribution ofthe weldment are obtained through the analysis. Then based onthe thermal results a sequential coupled thermo-elastic-plasticanalysis is conducted to determine the mechanical features ofRSW process. The mechanical features, including thedistributions of the contact pressure at both the faying surfaceand the electrode-workpiece interface, the stress and straindistributions in the weldment and their changes during the RSWprocess and the deformation of the weldment are also calculated.
